What the Western Convention is Doing
[...]
Rev. W. M. Jamerson, the blind preacher from Bald Creek, in Yancey County, and a deligate from the eastern convention, has been in active service of the church for the past 10 years. His sad affliction dates back for many years and is hereditary. His studies were conducted at Raleigh until failing health compelled his return home. Mr. Jamerson has been particularly sucessful in conducting revivials and in the work of a colporteur. His genial disposition makes him well liked by the people and greatly lessens the weight of his physical misfortune."
