  Mrs. Ruth Jamerson Clark, 63, of Rt. 5, Edgewood Rd., died unexpectedly at 3:45 p. m. Monday in an Asheville hospital.

  She was a native of Yancey County and the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Wesley Jamerson. The widow of Francis Edgar Clark Sr., she had lived in Buncombe County 45 years and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church, formerly Craven Street Baptist Church.

  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles Pike of Tucson,. Ariz.; two sons Ed Clark Jr. of Alexander and Jack Clark of Asheville; two brothers, Floyd Jamerson of East Flat Rock and Lloyd Jamerson of Candler; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

  Anders-Rice Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements which were incomplete Monday night.
