"The father and mother of Mrs. Williams were John T. and Elizabeth (Sharrats) Ashenhurst, natives of England and Pennsylvania respectively. Her father was a farmer in Ohio where he lived until his death in 1844. The mother died at her daughter's home in Hastings January 19, 1873, aged sixty-nine years. Mrs. Williams is the only one now living of a family of four children.
