"John Beebe, born Nov. 4, 1628, in Broughton, Eng., m Abigail York, dau of James York of Stonington, Conn. Mentioned as Ensign John Beebe of North London. In company of George Dennison. Made Lieut. in 1690.
In June 1676 during King Phillip's War, Ensign John Beebe with the New London Co. went up the Connecticut River to Northampton, and joined Major Talcot with supplies of which the army was in great need.
The children of John and Abigail York Beebe were—John; Rebecca, who married Richard Shaw, and—
