  John Beebe, baptized at New London, Dec. 7, 1701, married about 1726 to Ruth, mar. 16,—Sept. 15, 1794, dau of Seargent Joseph and Sarah Pratt.

  In 1738 they moved to Kent, Conn., and in 1762 to Canaan, Columbia Co., N. Y. Was one of the original purchasers of land in Kent. He died in Canaan, July 15, 1788. They are buried in Chatham, N. Y. Their children were—John, m Mary Hill; Hezekiah; Daniel, m Esther Pratt; Anne, m John Vaughn; Martin, m Dorcas Hurd; Sarah, m John Davis; Trial, m Thomas Hurlbut; Chloe, m Ebenezer Cady; Tryphina, m Eleaxer Cady."
